after a time. This day he took a bridle in his hand with the intention of catching the horse. He called the dog from the rock lest the barking dog would frighten the horse but the dog would not answer the call. Then taking a rod he proceeded to hunt the dog but he only cried and barked the louder as he looked towards the lake.he struck the dog and as he did so the horse raised his head neighed and galloped down the hill towards the lake.He jumped in and disappeared. The dog then came to the feet of my grand uncle and licked them and jumped up and cried with joy.The horse was never seen again and the dog never again barked on the rock.It was believed that the dog saved his master's life.
