It was there for a long time and at last it must have thought of a plan. It lay down on the floor and pretended to be dead. When the farmer opened the door. when the farmer opened the door and saw the fox he thought that it was dead. The farmer walked out to get a hay fork and when he came back the fox was gone.
The hare makes its farm in a bunch of rushes in the middle of a field. A hare can run very fast. It's flesh is not as nice as the rabbit's. it is very dark in colour. The rabbit is not as big as the hare nor can it run as fast. Rabbits seem to be more plentiful in this district than hares.
The rat and the mouse are very destructive animals. They frequent dwelling houses very much in winter as they cannot get enough to eat outside.
The squirrel is seldom seen in this district It lives mostly in groves and woods. It lives principally on nuts. It is a very nice animal. It has a bushy tail.
The badger is about the same size as the fox and is very harmless. It is of a grey colour. Badgers are not as plentiful as foxes.
