- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)In Castlemartin there is a grave yard which is hundreds of years old. there are not many graves in it but the head stones are of this shape (the shape is a tall rectangle) and made of stone.
About five years ago an unbaptised child was buried in it. There is the ruins of a church and a castle in it.
In Gilltown there is a grave yard with an old vault in it. It is a small wood now because long ago young trees were sown in it.Paddy Nugent.

Age 48 - In every house in this town people put up palm on Palm Sunday.
It is taken down and burnt the year after and fresh palm put in its place.
In New Abbey there is a stone which when full of water cures warts.
