   beautifully architraved with
   chiselled granite. It was newly
   roofed in between thirty - five
   and forty years ago, and
   with reasonable care should
   stand many hundreds of
   years still. The old mansion
   attached to the castle was
   at one time a large building
   of three storeys, but two
   were taken down and the
   first storey converted into a
   coach-house, etc. The modern
   house close by was erected
   by the Barrington family
   from whom it was recently
   purchased by Mr. Roche, the
   present owner.

   Members of the
   Wadding family held positions
   of importance in Co. Wexford
