  1. A long time ago there was a house in the townland of Cam and a family called Curran lived in it. Every night a candle used to appear on the chimney and no matter how strong the wind was, it couldn't blow it out. When you'd be far away from the house you could see the candle, but if you went near it, the candle would disappear.

  2. A red calf used to come out of Sammons' Lough and feed on the banks, but if anyone went over near him he would jump into the water and disappear.
