  1. Two protestants were going home from Edgeworthstown on evening. They had drink in, and when they were passing Edgeworthstown chapel, they began to jeer at the "Mission Cross" that's in the chapel yard. One of them called Logan, lifted a stone and threw it at the Crucifix. He broke a toe off the Figure. The parish priest, Father Farrelly was very troubled about it and he said that everyone would know who done it. Not long after Logan died in terrible agony with a pain in his big toe.
