- Kerry Mulligan's father started teaching first in Gortnadeve, but he was only six months teaching until they got a teacher. Collins from Timicat waas another teacher. He had a wife and a son and four daughters. They lived in a cabin below the school. He wife was Napky Kelly. Collins used to always say "beat them, beat them" when the scholars would come without the penny fee, as that was the teachers pay.
Frank Feeney one side of Tom Mulligans in Skehard taught me. He used to teach from his bed in the corner of the school as he was a criple. He couldnt get up nor he was not able to walk.
