  1. Lumps on the neck = get some course salt and heat it. Place it on a woolen sock and put it round the neck. It will take away lumps
    A cure for a sore eye
    If you have a sore eye go out in the morning to a rock near by, and if the dew has fallen on the rock bathe your eye with it.
    A cure for a sore throat
    Boil some buttermilk, and put a small grain of oaten meal in it. When well boiled drink the whey.
    A cure for a sprained foot.
    Get some vinegar and flannel. Heat the vinegar and steep the flannel in it. Then put it on your foot at bed-time, and it will be better in the morning.
    A cure for a boil.
    Get some boiling water, and a clean cloth and bathe the boil in it.
