    they found no trace of her. When they had searched everywhere except unhder the box where the old woman they asked her would she mind getting up to let them search, but she said at first that she wouldn't and then she got up. Then they saw blood on the floor under her. She was the hare they had been after and the blood was from the wound where the hound had bit her.
    When she discovered that they had recognized her she at once changed into a hare again and would have escaped had not the hounds caught her.
