  1. (continued from previous page)
This prayer is said often going into bed or when (a) people are going on a journey they bless themselves and ask God to lead them home safe.
This is another prayer I learned from my mother. O most crucified Jesus have mercy on us.
Our souls and our bodies restrain to thee.
Whose five bleeding wounds were nailed to a tree.
most crucified Jesus have mercy on me.
This is another prayer I have learned.
    Holy mother peirce me true.
In my heart each wound renew,
    Of my Saviour crucified.
This is another prayer my mother taught me.
    Little Jesus meek and mild.
Look on me a little child.
    Pity man and pity me,
And suffer me to come to Thee.
This is a prayer that should be said when going on a journey.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph we pray,
Be ever with us on our way,
Jesus, Mary and Joseph we pray,
Be ever with us night and day.
