    Bread is made from flour.
    In parts of Ireland wheat is grown and the people brings it to the mill where it is ground. My mother cannot remember of any grindstone to be in the parish. The different kind of cakes are pancakes potato cakes raison cake and porter cakes. Milk is used in kneeding.
    The name given to the vessels where these cakes are made are oven a[?] pan. Long ago the people used to make griddle cakes and bake them in a gridiron those cakes were made of oatmeal. The women used to bake bread in front of the fire standing against a support.
