  1. Fairies
    There was once an old lady who used to wait up late spinning thread. She used to wait up very late on Saturday night which is not a right thing to do.
    One Saturday night she was up very late spinning thread. It was after twelve o'clock and it was not long until a knock came to the door. She answered the knock and found an army of old hags.
    They came in and sat down and they ordered her to make tea for them. She had no water in the house so she had to go to the well.
    On her way to the well she met a friend of hers who was a clever woman. She told her about the hags who had come in to [?]. The woman thought of a [?] and she told the old lady,
