  2. The wild duck, pheasant, partridge, snipe, curlew, crane, pigeon, seagull, woodcock, cuckoo, swallow, water hen, hawk, green plover, and swans are to be found in this district. The cuckoo and swallow migrate. The wild duck sits on her eggs for four weeks. If swallows fly low it is a sign of rain and when they fly high it is a sign of fine weather.
