  2. Long ago little girls used to make necklaces out of daisies. They used to get them growing out in the field and they used to get a long thráneen and put the daisies into it and then it used to make a lovely necklace for them.
    They used make dolls out of daub and they used to put a queer face on them.
    Long ago little boys were making spinning tops out of thread spools. They were great spinning tops. They used to make pop-guns out of a tree called the Trom. They were making slings out of bits of leather and bits of twine. They were great for throwing stones far off.
