    Potatoes
    We sow potatoes every year.
My father that plants them. We sow potatoes in drills and in ridges also.
The ridges are sowed with the spade and the drills are sown with a plough
There were wooden ploughs a century ago
The spades were made by black-smiths
ut they are not used made now by blacksmiths.
The slits are cut about a fortnight before they are sowed and every slit must have a bud.
The are put in pits when slitted.
