    that there was a well in the vicinity that supplied the monks with water and since it was closed up the spot where it was is most unlucky. The old cemetery in Kilkelly is not now used.
    The present church in Kilkelly is called after Saint Celsus, and so it the priest's house. There is a great devotion to the Saint in the district. Kilkelly which means the church of Celsus gets its name from this old church.
