   Another one in Doherty's house. It is like a skull. There is a Pattern held there every year in her honour on the 11th August.

   1st people went there to pray. They came from far distances. People gave them tea - hence Tents for the purpose.

   Sports came on then. So now people go for sport not prayer.

   From Cairn of stones near the old castle in high Plateau The old castle is near the wood. There is an underground passage from the Castle to the neighbouring houses a distance of about half a mile. In a rising ground near the end of [?] is a plot where the graves are to be seen still. Each grave is about 8 or 9 ft long showing how big the men were in former times. It is understood that it was the Dedanna[?] who made it after the Milesians defeated them.
