- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Boxty was also made long ago. The people used to grate the potatoes on a grater and then they would take the water from the grated potatoes. Flour and salt would then be put through the potatoes and put down on a pan to bake. It would bake in about ten minutes.
On certain times a currant cake was made on christmas day or some other feast day they would have currant cakes. A cross used to be made on the cake in order that it would bake faster. A cross is also put on the cakes now.
The people used to eat three meals every day. Oatmeal bread, potatoes, milk and meat were the foods they did eat mostly.- Faisnéiseoir
