    used to wear hoops in their skirts and didn't the evening turn out very stormy and bad, it blew fiercely and scarcely were they able to make their way to the houses. It was thought the storm was on account of the turning of the flag.
    When the priest heard it he ordered the flag to be taken away. It is presently above behind the altar in the Cathedral of Ballina. A great many people came after that, they had the fasting and all done, but were disappointed when they found the flag was gone.
