    When the milk is churned the butter falls from the sides of the churn and from the dash and it becomes very hard to churn any longer. Water is put in during the churning.
    The butter is lifted out of the churn with butter spades and it is then put into the butter dish. Salt is then added to the butter and when it is mixed a knife is put through the butter is then made into a roll for using, If the churn of milk spilled on the ground some people would not let the dogs or cats lick it up because they say some other people want it.
