- There is a big rock in the Sandpit field and there is supposed to be a man living in it. On a bright moonlight night a man was passing and he saw a white thing sitting at the rock and he went over to see what it was because he thought it was a sheep and when he was near the thing it went into the rock and disappeared. He was telling it at home and he was told that that Spirit was often seen there before. This rock is in Longford, near Crossmolina, Co Mayo. Betty Wood
