    were made in Gortnaskehy by a cooper named John Colman.
    There were many lime kilns in this locality many years ago. There was one in my grandfather's yard. He used only burn enough lime for his own use.
    Thee are very few thatchers around here now as thatch houses are almost done away with. There are two or three thatchers in this locality that thatched the houses when needed. Their names are Patrick Fitzgibbons and Ned Fitzgibbons of Barnahown and John Duggan of Gortnashehy.
    The people used to spin and weave wool in this locality. They used to have looms for weaving the wool.
    A man named Owen McCarthy of Barnahown was a great weaver. He used to weave wool for the gentry such as Captain Druid and Captain Barry of Mocollop. My grandmother has a quilt that was made by hand looms over at Patrick Doherty's.
