Cornell's Court or Cornelscourt is a small village situated in South Dublin and seven miles from the city. Originally a man named Cornell owned a castle here hence its name Cornell's Court. The old castle was situated on the present site of Mr. Cunnians farm yard. No ruins are to be seen but old people showed me where "The Banquet House" was situated. The north end of the village is known as Clonkeen (Cluain Caoin) an old Irish name for the district. Part of the village is on the estate of Misses. Byrne of Cabinteely and who originally owned Cabinteely House. Somewhere in the vicinity
