would bring him this bird. The eldest son set out the next day to find the bird, and on his way he met a fox and the fox told him to go to a certain town-land in which there were two houses. One of the houses was lighted but there was no light in the second one. The fox told him to go into the house in which there was not light. When the boy came to the townland he was afraid to go into the unlighted house but went into the lighted house. When the eldest son did’nt return before a week, the second son set out but he met with the same fate. After another week the third son set out and he met the fox who told him to go into the house in which there was no light. He also told him to sit on his tail and he would bring him to the house.
