    Once upon a time there lived in Ireland a man known as Paddy who was very poor.

    Once upon a time there lived in Ireland a man known as Paddy who was very poor. One day while out working he saw a fairy who told him that he would make him rich. This delighted Paddy very much and the fairy told him that the daughter of the King of France was in danger of death and that nobody could do anything for her and there was a great reward out for anyone who could cure her. The fairy gave Paddy a bottle of medicine which he was to take with him to France and give to the Princess.
    When Paddy arrived in France he had great trouble getting into the palace but in the end he got in and he did as the fairy told him and in a few days she was better. For this Paddy got a great reward and he returned a rich man.
    A few days later the fairy again came to him and told him that a big sum of money was to be paid to anyone who could beat a big boxer who was in Dublin. He told him to go to Dublin and fight this man and he would
