  1. I have heard of many stories of hidden treasure but the most exciting and probably the most truthful is the story concerning a chalice and communion which are buried on Drumbar hill in the townland of Drumbar and about two miles from Donegal Town. They were buried there by the priests in the penal times when the priest was banned and hunted and mass was said behind a ditch or in some lonely glen.
    In the vicinity of the place is a bent tree and it is supposed that priests said mass at the foot of this tree. It appears that the priest was pursued by soldiers and he hid their sacred chalice
