  1. Once upon a time there was a giant living in Lough a Duin. One day he was coming with a stone at Beagh. He was going to take it to Lough a Duin for a door case. When he arrived at Beagh he heard that his mother Birog was dead so he threw the stone on the road side and it is there since. He went home and buried his mother in a cave in Lough a Duin. One day a man named Suibhne from Drumbohill was cutting sticks near the cave. When he was coming home he passed the cave and when he was passing the cave it opened. A giant appeared and asked what he was doing. He said he was cutting sticks for a basket and the giant told him to clear away and leave the sticks behind him. He went home and he came back the following night with a light and went into the cave where he had seen the giant. He went in and he crept on his hands and feet for two miles, and he heard
