    ago there was a snow storm and the mounds of snow were higher than the tallest tree. It was early in the Spring time when this occurred too and the traces of snow remained in the ditches until June.

  2. There are many poems which were composed by the travelling poets of Meath. The two principal poets were Laurence Dunphy and William Carolan. Neither of those two men could write their own names, yet their poetry will live for many years among Meath-men. They were bought of the tramp class.
