- There was a man living in Urris Mannagh Clonmany. His name was Canning and he composed a song on the loss of the Urris boat. He was about thirty years of age when he made this song. It was the 22th of December 1852 that the boat was lost on. He was about eighty years when he died. This mans ancestors were able to make poetry to. This man was buried in Clonmany Chaple. He was a farmer all his life.
