    The plough man follows with a drill plough and covers the manure and seed with clay. This is called closing or covering the drills.
    In our district people ridge potatoes with a spade.
    In gardens about half an acre in size the potatoes are ridged. Small farmers that have no horses ridge all their potatoes in the month of March.
    The manure is put on the ground first then a person lays the cuts on the Manure Then clay is put on the top of the cuts.
    The clay is got along side of the ridge.
    On every ridge there is about four drills of potatoes.
    On each side of the ridge a shough is made and the clay is thrown out on the ridge then the manure is scaled over the ridge and the cuts are
