  1. The Moon
    1) A new moon observed early in the quarter and far west denotes storm and rain and if in Winter denotes snow.
    2) A moon observed late in the quarter and high in the sky denotes good weather.
    3) A far off ring in the moon denotes a near hand storm.
    4) If the moon is bright and clear looking the weather will be dry and windy, but if the moon is hazy looking it is a sign of bad wet weather.
    The Sun
    1) To see the sun very red at evening denotes good weather.
    2) To see beams from the sun, going into the water denotes bad weather.
    Birds
    1) Cranes flying inland denotes coming storm.
    2) Swallows flying low denotes bad weather.
    3) Seagulls on land denotes bad weather. But if they remain along the shore it is a sign of good weather.
    4) Cormorants flying from north to south denotes bad weather.
    1) If it is bad weather and the wind to go North it is said if it remains there for three days it will dry up.
