The Protestants in there hatred for the cross had it removed on several occasions. The cross was mysteriously replaced. A man by the name of Noble was engaged on one occasion to remove the cross. He did remove it, but he never regained his proper shape. He was everafter a hunchback. The cross was again replaced, but on several occasions it was again uprooted. It was through over a very low wall into an adjoining field, and never has ivy or any other plant grown on that wall since that day.
