  1. There's a big round well down in front of Fenlon's house. One day Mrs Downs, she was stayin' with the Fentons at the time, went out for a bucket of water to the well. She didn't come out for three days, an' the Fenlons were very up-set and tould the guards all about it. After the three days Mrs Downs came back. Mrs Fenlon asked her where she had been an' sez she: "Why Mrs Fenton sure I wasn't long!"
