    Chincough
    1. If a child had chincough someone belonging to the child affected watched until a man passed by riding on a white horse. The person in care of the child went out before him and asked him what she would do for the child. The man tells the person what she should give to the child. Of course he always told her something simple to do. It is said if this advice is carried out that it is an infallible cure.
    2. Milk given to a ferret and what it leaves; drank by the child affected afterwards is said to be a cure for the chincough.
    Sprains. There is a very old cure for sprains. The person must go
