  1. There is a well in Cloonthue. The people used to get water in it. There was a rule made that they should not go after six o'clock for the water. A woman went for some water after six o'clock in the evening and she saw a woman down in the well washing clothes.
She took the bucket of water and went home. When she reached home she had no water in the bucket. She wondered where did the water go that she took out of the well. A man was passing by he saw a light and as he drew near the it disappeared. He told other people and the would not believe him. So they closed in the well. There is a hill over the well yet.
