The bride did not visit her old home for one month and then she drove there with her husband. Her mother would have her red square box made to hold her blankets, sheets, and home made quilt and have all ready for the bride to take to her new home. A great feast would be prepared also for that day; the bride would usually spend a week in her old home. This is still the procedure in our district when a couple get married.
