- Long ago the people used to wear different clothes to what we do now. The men wore short little coats made of white flannel called Baneens. The old women use to wear white caps like a bonnet. They were tied down under their chins with white bands of fine muslins. Very few had these machines to iron out the frills on the cap.(continues on next page)
