- (continued from previous page)home. Another day he was out digging potatoes in a field when a hare came running along. He could not think what to do. He was mending shoes the night before and he had a ball of wax in his pocket he pulled it out and struck the hare on the forehead.
The hare gave a jump and struck another hare and they both got stuck together with the ball of wax, so that he had the two hares with the ball of wax.
- Once upon a time. There was a man and a woman and they were very poor. They had one son. He was a lazy. He would not raise until 12 o'clock in the day and when he would get up he would do nothing. His father said he would clear him out of the house and he did so. The boy went away and he asked work of the fairy man.
