    comes in to cure " Jack Steeple" who has got a pain inches stomach. The "Captain" leads them, and he goes to the houses to see if they are welcome in.
    People make pancakes on Shrove Tuesday, because the next day would be Ash Wednesday, and they could not eat anymore until, until the end of Lent. Most people get married on Shrove Tuesday.
    On St Patrick's Day people wear shamrocks, and green coats, and caps, in memory of St Patrick.
    On Good Friday people go to Church and pray a lot because of Our Lord's suffering on the cross.
    An old custom which people use at Easter is, eating eggs, building Easter houses, and boiling hard eggs.
    Bonfires are lighted on the hills on St John's Day.
