Templeton not at home. Johnny asked Tommy not to tell his wife.
There is another fort beside our school it is called Barber's fort, as a man named Barber owns the land. Johnny Templeton who is dead a couple of years, and if alive would be about 75 years of age, went to Corrigeencor School when a little boy One day during lunch time himself and a chum called Weir, who is dead long since went up to Barber' hill or as it was then called Hawksby's hill. They went into the fort, and did some damage. Johnny's mouth was drawn to his ear, and he lost the power of his arm. The other boy lost the power of his legs. Johnny's mouth came back again to its right shape, but he always had the dead arm until he died Old Mr Hawksby built a wall round the fort after that.
In Robert Jamison's land there is a fort on a hill. The hill is called Fort hill. Light were often seen, and a crock of gold is supposed to be buried in it.
