    After crossing the Shannon St Patrick's driver died of fright. Horan was the driver's name. He is buried under Matthew Kenny's upper room. Kenny used to say that he slept every night over his grave.
    Every old man and woman in this district believe firmly in the serpent. They would feel very much insulted and annoyed at your want of faith if you made ridicule of the story.
