Glenamaddy is called that name because the Irish for Glenamaddy is Gleann-na-Madhadh; Glen of the dogs.
There are ten old aged pensioners in the town and the most of them speak English.
Jim Dillon was the best story teller in Glenamaddy but he is dead now. The following are not bad:-
