    his daughter to a certain man. Perhaps the terms would be accepted and perhaps they would not. If they were accepted the marriage day would be named and a wedding prepared. The day that was named for the wedding the young man and his friends would go to the girls house and spend three or four hours there before they would go to the chapel. Each side would bring as many cars as they could. This was called "the bringing home". When they would leave for the chapel shoes would be fired after them.
