    When the day for planting the potatoes come we generally have a number of the neighbours.

    When the day for planting the potatoes come we generally have a number of the neighbours. First the ground is prepared. All the seed are placed along the headland. Then the women come to the garden with buckets to spread the seed. The seed is spread first and then the manure. The farmers have about an acre of potatoes and therefore the most of the day is spent planting them. In the evening the drills are closed.
