- A Sling is made from two short pieces of twine and a piece of leather about 2 inches square. The pieces of string are inserted through holes in the leather at opposite edges. A small stone is place on the leather. The sling is put spinning around & when in full flight one string is released & the stone is driven with great force.
- SnareThis is made by plaiting three or four strands of brass wire. A loop is made at one end and the other end is passed through this loop, so as to form a running knot. The loose end is securely fastened to a spike of wood which is driven into the ground in a spot frequented by rabbits. The loop is kept in position by a gabhlóg. When the rabbit puts his head into the loop it is closed and strangles the rabbit.
