  1. Fairs were not held in towns long ago. They were held on some hill. All the farmers would appoint some day. Then the jobbers would come, and buy their stock. Luck penny is given according to the beasts. When a jobber is making a bargain he takes hold of the seller's hand, then they strike their two hands together, and they finish the bargain. The beasts are marked with raddle. When cows or horses are sold, the bridle is given away with them. The most important fair is held in Ballygar on the eighteenth
