  1. Once, a man lived near Sheemore. He wanted sticks for the fire. He went out with a lamp to the fort and as he came near it, a light arose from the top of the hill. The man got afraid and picked the sticks he got beside him.
    Away home with him. He put down a good fire next morning. When he saw how well the sticks burned, he set out to get more. He got an axe, to cut down a tree, but when the tree was almost cut, a flood of blood ran down the tree. He frightened and started on antoher tree, but before it was quarter cut, the tree started to roar and milk ran down it, it gallons. He gave up cutting.
