  1. The townland in which I live is called Dromore. It is situated in the parish of Uachtar Achaidh and in the Barony of Carrigalen.
    There are eight families in Dromore. There are thirty people in it.
    There are only two or three thatched houses in it now. Yet within my own memory all the houses in Dromore were thatched.
    The townland got its name from the big hill in the centre of the townland.
