    As I lie down on this bed to sleep
    I give my soul to God to keep.
    Keep it now and keep it ever.
    There are four corners on my bed
    There are four angels over head.
    St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke and St. John
    God bless me on the bed I lie on.
    This prayer is said before going to sleep.
    I wish you health, I wish you wealth,
    I wish you gold in store.
    I wish you Heaven when you die,
    Pray who could wish you more?
    Jesus by the branch, Mary by the flower
    Jesus and Mary be with me at my dying hour.
