  1. If a swallow flies low there will be rain.
    Some people say that if a swallow builds her nest in a house this year and that she does not next year the household will have bad luck. When the cuckoo comes early there will be a bad summer but if she comes late it will be good.

  2. If a swan flies across a house some of the inhabitants will die before the year is out. When the rooster crows at night danger is at hand. A straw on a hens tail is the sign of a visitor.
